The two hottest trends right now are on the go tours and eco-tours. These two subgroups have seen a dramatic increase in traffic in recent years. A combination of the two is the Holy Grail that many tour companies are actively pursuing and fine-tuning. The problem is that these visits are expensive. Going alone is a more difficult. Most of us sitting in our cabin and dream of something outrageous. We watch television programs on the participationAmundsen Omega 3 South Pole Race, the (ski up to the South Pole). We see people driving programs across Africa by bicycle, on horseback through Mongolia bike or rowing across the Pacific. In response, we sit on our Duffs and tell us we do not have the money, do not have the time, and the goal is too far. But this is not always true. There are a series of adventures that are committed only 5 days or so and then get right in your own backyard!

IfThey live on the East Coast, you might want to think about driving to Quebec and the Maritime Provinces. This is not particularly adventurous, but it is especially nice. However, the journey can be much more interesting when you decide on the ferry from Nova Scotia and Newfoundland to jump head. Depending on the season, this can become very quickly a real adventure. It 'easy to get lost in central Newfoundland, in a whiteout blizzard in the middle ofabsolutely nothing. The only person who will hear your cries for help block your path, the moose, whose silhouette can be little during whiteout.

If your spirit of adventure is not yet discouraged, they are still a few days and you're ready to venture outside, you can create a boat trip on the Trans-Labrador Highway. This is where the fun really going on. The track is not yet connected enough! It is supposed to be completed this month, but Iadvise against the breath. At the end, the path to an epic journey to the ends of civilization to the north eastern North America. Remember: NYC to Maine to Nova Scotia to Newfoundland to the coast of Labrador (Happy Valley-Goose Bay), Quebec to Labrador City in New York.

It 'a very interesting guide extreme adventure, these sections of concrete in full. Another great, if you live on the west coast of the Tuktoyaktuk Ice Road driving, high-Canadian, as in Ice Road Truckers. Better yet, do it like Jesse James and on a motorcycle. Even in this case something can be done in your own backyard, and the cost is not surprising that much money.

I must say, though, definitely one of the best kept secrets, if you want to live on the West Coast, a wilderness adventure travel, the way back to Oregon Country Discovery must be. This is not actively discussed, at least not in public forums such as the Internet. The stateOregon actually spent money to remove all signs, just a year after the road was opened in 1999. You can learn more about OBCDR Here Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route, but the basic substance is that you are driving from California to Washington, all the way through the forest. Almost entirely off-road through stunning scenery, you should be carrying a chainsaw and chain coupling, as is more likely to hack / drag debris from the road at some point of the trip have. The trail extends almost1000 miles with little difference between Oregon Forest Service trails. Rangers did want to keep the secret, and environmentalists are not too happy about the state with the tacit support of the vehicle off the road. It 'true, noise, emissions and general chaos, non-road mobile machinery for the landscape because it can not be the best thing when trying to capture the beauty of nature. But it makes it much easier, resulting in a constant struggle, a moralDilemma. Personally I have the eco-consciousness falls into a special category that I like to call "moral flexibility", so I would definitely do it, but then I feel a little 'guilty. Maybe I would feel better with biodiesel instead of petro-diesel in the raised rock-crawling monster would take me on track. Different strokes for different folks, I think. While the use of the route is still allowed, but this is certainly an adventure courtyard near the top of my list.

The point of allThis is because a couple of adventures at hand ARE. We are all very good at creating roadblocks for ourselves or take things too difficult. There hamstring, before it even begins. But with a suitable vehicle, a little 'planning and a GPS device, you can also take an epic journey ... and work back a week later!
